Here's something to look at. It's the Coronation Party held at The old St Martin's Church Hall. My wife Maureen dug this picture out of the archives the other day. Can anyone see themselves?
In this blow up Maureen (Keeler) is at the bottom with her sister Frances top right. In The middle is their cousin Mary Muddle who went to NZ in about 1961.

Ah, another fine picture of Dover comes to light. I wonder how many more are out there undiscovered. Great picture Terry, and I would like a copy please mate if I may, as I went to St Martins in the late 50s and may recognise someone perhaps.

Many thanks for the emailed picture Terry, and I recommend anybody interested in the photo to get it sent to them from Terry by email. Can`t at this point identify anyone, and it would be nice if names could be put to the faces as most are still alive I`m sure. But, as the years go flying by, and as each year passes, they`ll be less of those children about with the memory to identify them all.

Lovely photos. My mum and dad had just started dating prior to the Coronation, my grandparents lived in Chevalier Road, and my auntie, uncle and cousin lived in Elms Vale Road. There were assorted great-aunts and cousins dotted around the Folkestone Road, Maxton, Clarendon, Winchelsea and York Street areas too!
Excuse the vicarious family nostalgia (me and my two brothers weren't even born!), but hey: happier, simpler, kinder times.
Cheers all,
Andy
I may be there Terry as I went to st martins then - be pleased to see if I am on the pic if you could mail it me. I was a naughty boy then living in elms vale rd - of course I have changed.
and within 10 minutes I have it - now off to annual Council meeting where we try and elect a mayor!!!!
