  A friend of ours has got, what I call, 'verbal diarrhoea', and talks non stop all the time and doesn't seem to listen to anything others tell her, talks over other people and isn't much interested in what others are trying to tell her. I am told she could be suffering from ADHD or similar, but is there anything we can do - you can't concentrate on anything when she is talking! She has an excellent vocabulary, and is well educated.
  Other than telling her rudely to 'shut up' is there anything one can do?
