As I walked down the town today I saw a cyclist cycling down the pavement from the Eagle towards Iceland on that side,I was on the otherside and I could see an old Chinese man coming down the steps from the houses above the Chinese take away, then I saw the Cyclist and as the man got to the bottom of the step I could see what was going to happen. It didn't because although the Chinese man couldn't see the bike he paused on the step for a brief second,he was still shocked as the Cyclist passed him and missed him by perhaps 2 feet.
As I walked down by the Town Council office,I bumped into an old mate who said when is someone going to re-enforce these Cycling notices, just then a young lad shot by on his bike.
On the way back up through the Town I saw Ashley our 1 Town Bobby, and I waited until he was free and as I went to speak to him about the Cyclist problem he croosed the road to tell this 70 year old to get off his bike.He came back and I said that is funny that is just what I was going to talk to you about. He was a bit busy but basically said he was on his own and couldn't do much about it.

On I press and spotted our very Town Clerk Mike Webb sitting having a break outside a cafe,so like my old mate Keef, went across and spoke to him and while we were there the same old man cycled passed again in the non cycling zone.
Moral of the Story it is not always young kids who do wrong it is old people as well, and when told old people are as stubborn or as forgetful as Young people
