Good point there, you would be amazed by the heat build-up laptops and notebooks give out whilst charging, I always leave mine on a hard surface and keep an eye on it.

Very worrying that one Howard. Not sure if people are aware of the danger of oily rags but here's a link to explain:

Watch out for rags soaked in oils whilst redecorating too. Linseed oil is a particular danger.

will have to be on the safe side and avoid oily rags, especially since the chancellor upped the tax on them at the last budget.
