I enjoyed the adaptation, especially the twist that the Triffids were tethered for oil production to ease the spectre of global warming - only to have a solar flare ruin it all for everyone - just deserts hmmm..

As previously posted it comes at a time when there have been many post-apocalyptic films and series (like Survivors), but I feel it is still worth watching even though the actual Triffids remind me of rather funny Aloe-Vera plants that have wandered from the roundabout in Ramsgate.
