I saw a little bit in the one of the newspapers this week, although I cant for the life of me find it right now, that the Age Concern Ladies wont now be taking part in the carnival because of the later start time. Aaah thats a shame. It seems the lovely ladies peak in the afternoon and ever so gently wilt as evening draws on. I dont beleive such a thing could happen to these lovely ladies.
Gosh now I dont want to bring up the start time debate again as a kind of peace has settled and thats good, but I got my best picture last year of those good ladies.
The usual club crowd were fondly frollicking at the David/Linda Hannent Carnival Bar-B-Q when the Carnival arrived and these ladies looked great all in red. I wondered how I'd get a power shot and I remember one Mary Graham, no-nonsense journaliste, late of the Mercury ( she who must be obeyed!!) telling me to get out, stop the parade, line the ladies up and get a shot..this I duly did and the picture was the best.
Must try and find it again.Thanks for the picture ladies.
