What do they do in Deal???

    1. have a week long set of events

    2. have a shorter route

    3. a route which goes along the sea front

    4. a fair for at least a week

    5. get far more sponsorship from their town

In the eighties and nineties sue to be fair. There was not the legislation surrounding children that there is now. Times change, and we have to change with them.

I hope to god we do get a good turn out because I can guarantee one thing. If our losses are to great. Carnival for Dover will be over FULL STOP. There is no way a parade can continue to run at a loss out of the pockets of it's volunteers. Regardless of Who runs it.

I will be suprised to see ANY carnival running in less than 5 years, due to the stuff that keeps being imposed. It's meant to be fun.
I back safety issues, but not silly stuff different carnivals keep being hit with.

I am not going to get embroiled in this issue again. It has caused me so much heartache in recent weeks it's incredible.
I am going to run with a 6pm start if only to prove my point.
but our town needs to prepare for NO BANDS, NO AGE CONCERN, AND NO PLAYGROUPS.

I am trying to give my best to what can only be described as an appalling situation for us. It isn't so much what was done, but how it was done.
