As a resident of Deal I sincerely hope that the cinema is a success although I am at a loss to understand how small cinemas survive nowadays.
With the ownership of widescreen HD TVs becoming ubiquitous and most blockbusters released on DVD within a few months of general release in the cinema there seem few reasons to support the local 'flea pit'.
Twice on recent weekends, wanting a 'night out' we've looked through the local cinemas including Ashford and Westwood and found nothing on that we could be bothered to go and watch.
The last time we went to the cinema must have been two years ago to see Scorcese's 'Shine A Light' which needed to be seen big and with a kick-ass sound system.
