  Howard I reckon we are 40%-50% at present with the new contract. This will be genuine figures because of the kerbside sort.
  
  Other systems used by our neighbouring authorities [Shepway apart] don't collect glass , put all recyclates in a clear pastic bag which is then weighed & sorted later. This where the fiddle goes on . After sorting a lot of the recyclates are then downgraded [but not the original %] & sent to landfill.
  
  Our residual waste i.e. black sacks is either sent to landfill at Richborough or Allington for incineration.
  
  That's the contract requirement.
