  The thing is that some PC stuff is just plain silly, but that shouldn't detract from the seriously good that has been done because of social engineering, or political correctness!!!!!!! Rick - stopping the slave trade was social engineering, it just had a different name then. That is, at bottom, what governments are paid to do: social engineering. That is why they offer tax breaks to some and not others, why schools have certain ethos, why we have an NHS. They are all social engineering. Why are people scared of it? It has been going on for centuries!!! the slave trade itself was social engineering!! Forget the fear of the words and focus on the outcomes!
