Went to a surprise birthday party last night, for family and freind`s which was a great evening and a chance to see one`s you haven`t seen for month`s or year`s. It was a great evening, and I had more than my share of white wine, (can`t touch red or beer in quantity). It`s been a number of year`s since I`ve experienced a disco, but this time, I found it very loud, that typical thumping sound, and the hall in practical darkness. Couldn`t hear each other speak, and couldn`t grab many pics due to lack of light. I think some last night were expecting a number of 60`s record`s to be played. Nevertheless, a nice evening. Are disco`s still as popular as they were 20 years ago?
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.
I can only hope not...................................

I was told the same thing 30 years ago John when I mentioned about that thumping noise at the time. I did, and still do like the disco music from those days though, boogie this and boogie that. `Staying alive`, one of my favourite`s.

COLIN
It's probaly just a change in music.
Hi all,
Depends on the Disco...I run 1, and always keep the volume down for the first part of the evening, so people can talk without having to shout at each other!
And yes, i think they are still popular, i always ensure i play a good selection for all ages, so everyone gets chance to have a dance!
the 60's and 70's are always the most popular :)
