Disney Magic departs
- 3 July 2021 20:24370698Without much prior announcement Disney Magic which has been part of the Dover harbour scene for well over a whole year departed the port at 7 o'clock this evening.It seems the ship is relocating to Southampton to take up summer cruises from there.Her departure was quite a spectacle.She did a complete pirouette in the outer harbour accompanied by a water hose display from one of the DHB tugs,all the while playing When you wish upon a star from her horn.It was quite a moving display and a pity so few Dovorians seemed to be out and about to witness it.

3 July 2021 22:04370703Martyn's photo of the departing 'DISNEY MAGIC' tonight, and his excellent accompanying narrative sums up appropriately how much the liner has brightened up our port and seafront over the last year.
We all know that it was an 'enforced' lay up that kept her here but we are very grateful, nonetheless, for her stay especially since the rest of the Disney fleet had returned to Florida some time ago.
Very Many Thanks to Disney, her crew and that cheery tune that kept us all alert throughout her stay.
Hope we will see her again in the future although she is not scheduled to call at Dover on her cruises from Southampton at present.
