Looking outside Dover, I note that Commander Dizaei, an Iranian born Muslim, who has come to prominence after many allegations, of which he was exonerated, of malpractice, including Operation Helios, which cost you and I, the taxpayer £4 million, as well as being a regular contributor to the 'press' complaining about racism etc. , has been convicted of perverting the course of justice and misconduct in public office and jailed today.
Dizaei is the national president of the National Black Police Officers Association which I am surprised to find is funded by the Home Office, as is the Gay Police Association (although controversially not the National Trans Police Association who represent trans and intersex Police Officers).

My question is why the Hell I, through my taxes, should fund 'minority' associations in Public Services whose members I expect to treat me without fear or favour?
Furthermore surely the existence of a Black Police Officers Association is just as abhorrent as the refusal of the National Front to accept members who are 'of colour' to use the present euphemism.
