15:3411129I have on many occasions put articles/letters into the Newspapers and one in particular always mis quotes or totally gets it wrong, today in this paper is a letter from me that should say 0% I will repeat it for any journalist reading this 0% so why when they print the letter does it become 90% and make complete nonsence of the letter,is this just a bad bit of journalism or mischief making.
This paper also printed a for let in a person death announcements,is the quality of newspaper slipping so far down the chain or is it cutting corners.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

15:4211130Oh yes this is the newspaper that ridicules people who make mistakes and put them in Dubris, perhaps they should put themselves in there.

16:0611132When I was five my family moved into a new housing development in North London. The local paper sent a photographer around and yet the resulting feature also included an interview with my mother that never happened. I have been reading misquotes, exagerations and fantasies ever since. No papers are blameless John.

16:2411133You are right, there has been a typo. Apologies. I will rectify it on our next letters page which will be after the festive period.

17:0611136John I can totally empathise with you on that one. I submitted a press release to all the main local papers this week. It all read exactly the same and yet the DM manages to write that Junior Miss Dover is a PRINCESS as opposed to JUNIOR MISS DOVER.
I then have to explain to the youngsters that it wasn't something I had done.

20:5911164Yes, PACT has been in once but I will put it through for the new year edition. I have to jostle for space with Folkestone as we are sharing that edition (something to do with printing presses and the early deadlines) but should be ok

01:0811179John, how could I possibly ever disagree with my lovely wife?

15:0311226I hate all papers when they disagree with me and love them when they agree, the rest of the time I just accept that they have a take on things and read for the news and to know what people are saying and reading. I was massively misquoted in the Times recently but it hasn't stopped me reading their entertaining review sections on a Sunday.
