I read in the Online version of Kent on Sunday that a dog-owner was recently fined £500 for allowing his dog to poo in a children's play area and didn't pick it up.
When asked by a PCSO to pick it up, he said "why should I ?"
This is great news and should be broadcast far and wide - that people are being fined serious amounts because they are not acting responsibly when their dog's mess the pavement or play area - why take a dog into a children's play area in the first place ?
I really hope that if this guy appeals, the fine is not reduced - maybe increased; we must not allow the seriousness to be reduced.
