    Dover nearing the end. Parmenter: 'We have the ridiculous situation where the leagues above are playing with TV revenue and the leagues below us playing with crowds.'

    Given that any sign of rational thinking in this government has been absent for at least the last six months, and that national policy is now determined by panic, fear-mongering and arse-covering, it's rather too hopeful of the chairman to expect anything other than 'the ridiculous' when it comes to football.
