Ah yes there were some hard nuts around those days. The Millwall Den had a hell of a grisly reputation but the Manchester Utd guys were pretty rough too...the red army. These were the days of wide scale hooliganism and the match itself was only half the occasion. I came across both sets of fans and lived to tell the tale !
I think Jimmy Greaves was a £99,000 transfer as the powers that be felt a £100,000 tag would be too much for any player to carry. I think Im remembering that right but of course through the fog of time, and Tony Hately a few years later when affluence increased took the mantle without a burden. I wonder if Harry is about he will remember all that Im sure.
