    FFS the old building was no longer fit for purpose, impractical to modernise & inappropriate for modern teacher & student aids.

    We cannot dip towns in aspic, we need to progress & modernise where it is appropriate to do so. If buildings are of architectural merit (i.e. Listed) then we should keep them & conserve the context of them in the urban landscape where it is sensible to do so.

    However, we need to create buildings that are easy to use, that ideally exceed the building regulations standards so running costs are low, are capable of accomodating modern electronic & electrical equipment etc. This applies to residential, commercial & municipal buildings equally.
