A number of suited individuals were seen today (without hard hats) walking along the full length of the new marina pier. Maybe a sign that it is not far from opening to the public.
Hoarding has been placed between the Wellington lock cut and the 'public' area alongside the SeaSports Centre/Hythe Bay in what looks like preparation for a public access route to the pier entrance.
Hoarding has also been installed alongside the road leading to the bascule bridge
At the Union Street entrance the roadway to the new bridge looks almost complete
and the roadway on the Esplanade has been surfaced
At the temporary public walkway across the lock cut the boarding that hid the work area has been mostly removed and replaced with mesh barriers
