The new Cargo Terminal at Dover Western Docks has seen its first reefers arriving for discharge this month (December 2019). The Refrigerated Container Terminal (RCT) now appears to be fully operational with Seatrade containers unloaded using two dockside cranes and mobile container transports stacking around the site.

The latest arrival from Ecuador and Peru, carrying what the Seatrade site documents as their regular cargos comprising avocados, mangoes, papayas, grapes, pomegranates, melons, pineapples, CA-bananas, citrus, asparagus, vegetables, flowers, shrimps and frozen fish, appeared down the channel today.
In the fading evening light of this second to last day of 2019 reefer 'LADY ROSEMARY' arrived through the Eastern entrance crossing the bay before berthing at the Cargo Terminal aided by DHB tugs 'Doughty' and 'Dauntless'.

The journey from South America takes around 20 days. The RCT has eight individual temperature controlled chambers capable of holding cargo between +1C and +14C
