I would suggest that the whole park is needed to make the event feasible. It's not the biggest of spaces and once you have a bar and food stalls etc, I don't think using the whole park is unreasonable.

I'm unable to make the event but think that such things are an amazing achievement and asset to the town socially. I'm also sure that the town itself will have an added vibrancy this weekend, something that will benefit shops, bars and eateries too...surely outweighing the temporary loss of the skatepark and play area?

I haven't posted here for a while but really feel that people should get behind such events! I know some of the people organising the event and can honestly say that you would be hard pushed to find more driven individuals that want good things to happen in our town. The ticket prices are representative of the fact that this is not a money making exercise and that this about getting families into the town to enjoy some quality music, without breaking the bank.

As I say, I am unable to make the event but think that everyone should try and take full advantage of the festival and enjoy it over this glorious weekend.
