First of all John, welcome to the forum, and secondly, you have hit the nail right on the head. I can't see much, if any local employment coming out of this investigation, just a complete and utter mess. In the short term, there are the obvious dangers of a massive increase in traffic around the farm, and those lanes are not at all suitable for heavy plant. Its alright saying that access will be through whitfield, but you can be sure that there will be plenty of rogue vehicles using the shorter, faster or more convenient routes, and I feel confident they will show very little respect for the local people or environment.
...and Keith, I didn't miss your point at all.
