Lovely - thanks (not) Reg. Full of misleading, incorrect and downright false information. It is an embarrassment that Eythorne is becoming associated with such falsehoods as are on that site you posted.

Objections and a campaign using the truth are good and we have experience from coal mining days on which we can base constructive objections using the truth as our weapon if we are against methane gas exploration and extraction for environmental or any other reason.

1st falsehood is that fracking is inevitable - no it isn't, it is not even likely.
2nd f.... can't be bothered almost everything on that site uses false, inaccurate or misleading information that tells us nothing about the actual proposal or the short comings of the actual proposal - even the witness from Balcombe who is quoted is highly selective because she has neighbours who say precisely the opposite and whose only complaints are about the protesters

Let's not repeat the mistakes of the Coal mining era when high saline water was pumped to the surface and over 90 years eventually contaminated our drinking water - not that anyone knew or noticed at the time - however, to suggest that the damage is irreversible is yet another falsehood to add to the list. Water Records show that the contamination that built up over 90 years of coal mining has reduced to nothing in less than 20 years.

Yes, we do need further clarification and detail on how the drillers are going to protect our water as they drill down through the aquifer. From what I've seen of this type of drilling so far and from speaking with Doe Green, the measures are quite comprehensive with steel linings and triple concrete reinforced sleeves, but COAG do not appear to have published the required level of detail yet and they should do so as soon as possible.
