It strikes me that this meeting requires someone or a group of people who have direct knowledge of the technical aspects of coal bed methane extraction.
This was what was lacking at the meeting at Guston where the "expert" seemed to nothing of the sort.
Those who have read scare stories about coal bed methane extraction (and those who believed the lies in the Gaslands film) need not put themselves up for cross examination in my opinion. They would flounder under scrutiny when pertinent questions were asked unless they know their subject inside out.
The state of things as they stand leaves us all without a clue as to what is planned.
For example I'd ask why drilling is taking place in villages rather than unpopulated areas I'd ask what happens next if exploration is considered to be successful - ie. how is the gas delivered to it's end point for use.
I'd ask what are the chances of contamination of the local aquifers and what contingencies would be enacted should contamination take place.
That's just for starters. There are loads more question to pose so anyone putting themselves up as spokesperson for this project had better know their stuff.
