Go to youtube, steam dover, and click onto the steam in Folkestone and Dover in the 1920s. Last`s about 5 minute`s, all Folkestone to start with, but then Folkestone Warren Halt, along to Abbotscliffe tunnel followed by Shakespeare tunnel with all the original building`s showing alongside. Out of Shakespeare tunnel, along the beach, and then shot`s of Hawksbury Street, complete with steam train and Dover tram running alongside, Dover Marine, Dover Priory, a busy Shakespeare beach with swimmer`s (?), and shots of the channel ferries in Wellington dock. I`ve seen much cine film of Dover over the years, but this lot I never knew existed, and the quality for the period is mind blowing, and you can of course enlarge it on screen and pause it to view any details. If you love Dover, you`ll watch this clip over and over. There`s even a shot of the Dover Pilot tied up in dock. Like to know what you reckon on it.
