Doverforum email problems.
- 16 June 2010 11:0156563It has become clear that I have been having email difficulties over the past several weeks. A number of people have written to me and alas the emails have never reached me...including emails from some of the official Doverforum teamsters. This has been made doubly clear to me in the past few minutes.
I just want to let people know that I havent ignored you if you have written to me in the past while...the chances are the mail hasnt come through. The odd thing is that some are coming through with no problem whatsoever...so truly bewildering...and some most definitly not, even from people I regularly email.
Its a bit of a headscratcher as to what to do about it, but have for now made some token adjustments in an effort to improve things. This is most definitely not ideal as it could have an effect on the running of various aspects of the site.

Are the missing emails coming from the same isp? AOL are having problems. if they all from same isp then it might be their problem, not yours.

Have made some adjustments and will test further today when I get a minute. Am just concerned that some people from around Dover may have been writing in but Im not receiving

I'm bamboozled...the thing was going along fine, i dont think I did anything to it, but did use it through Mozilla Firefox for a while...thats the only thing different I did, maybe doing that has upset the blasted applecart.
If you indeed have sent me something then the adjustments I made havent worked

- 17 June 2010 16:4756731Sid I think its one of those with a bottomless pit on webmail...I pay extra to Microsoft for the bottomless pit aspect, and of course some of the ones are coming through fine...while others appear blocked. Its a headscratcher.
Tony Ive had this email address since a long time and would be reluctant to change the thing. It was a fairly early email its that long ago. I first got this email when I first came to dover...looking out my window on a dark stormy night..the only real light I could see nearest to me was the pier Dover7.. hence the email of legend. Theyve gone and built two other piers since then...they just have no consideration these days !
Howard I have another email address gathering dust somehwere on Tiscali...unused...but when I get into last resort territory I might be forced into using it temporarily, bear with me for another while.email: dover7@msn.com
