Thanks guys (and that includes Sue and Bern).
If you can send photos Paul (Scotchie) that'll be great; I am taking photos too of course, but maybe other's might be taken with a better camera, or different angle, close up to the damage.
I wondered that myself Sue on Thursday night - we were in Chapter 8, so not far away.
I didn't go and look as we were enjoying ourselves and it was also pretty cold (wimp !); I didn't see any evidence of it showing anything at all - having the countdown to midnight would have got lots of people there celebrating, showing the fireworks from around the world (yes I know Sydney's great show is on many hours before we even get there) including London, would have been great.
Isn't it supposed to be turned off at 11.00pm ?
Roger
