The post you are reporting:
Reginald, you might be right, but there are always other hypotheses, how about this one.
Yes, the DDC would be strung up if they were seen to have painted over the Banksy.
But the Banksy was a problem to DDC, it stood in the way of their development plans for the site and their new bridge over the A20, no Banksy - no more problems.
Why has no one asked the very simple question, who paid for the scaffolding to be erected? Follow the money, you find who did it.
Is it a coincidence that the Banksy was painted over on the 25th of August, and a Government representative of the Future High Street Fund had a prearranged meeting on the 30th of August at the site of the Banksy to discuss funding for the new bridge and site accompanied by Tim Ingleton, Keith
Morris of DDC and our MP and staunch advocate of saving our Banksy Charlie Elphicke?
Well the Good News is the Dover Banksy can be saved as stated by the Fine Art Restoration Company, the technology is there, all we need is the will of Dover District Council to make it happen, they keep stating it's a sad loss to the town, well, now we all know they can save it if the wish.
How could this happen, as you all know the building is due in the near future to be purchased by DDC anyway, so all DDC has to do is bring the purchase forward and then reinstate this art work of international importance.
Think what positive PR coup such a gesture would generate for Dover and DDC around the world and show Dover's commitment to the world of the creative arts and Dover's wish to save this important art work not just Dover but for the whole nation and the wider world.
In the light of this can I please ask readers of this to forward this post to every politician they know, lets get the community boll rolling by publicly ask our MP to put into practice what he has been saying and really save our Banksy by going to DDC and publicly asking them to compulsory purchase the building on which the Bansky stands and reinstate our Banksy for future generations of town's people and tourists, as we all now know this is utterly possible, all that is needed is the will of DDC and
our MP to make this happen.
Inaction and silence can sometimes say a thousand words.
