Maybe good deeds "don't sell papers", but other youngsters DO COPY what their friends do...

to be fair both of our local papers do publish the nice stuff, the problem is that neither are based in dover anymore so need people to let them know what is happening.

another plus for our young is that the school holidays are over and the tram shelter is intact although knee deep in litter.
hopefully it is not because they have used toughened glass.

Having a husband who for many years (over 50) was involved with a local paper (and his father before him), we do hold quite strong views regarding the papers, especially about them in recent years.
It is a great pity neither have offices in Dover now.

i wont comment on my firm views on the local rags as iv given my view before.
but on the young a few yeas back i was asked to judge the triang awards
and blimey what a task.
choosing between children suffering realy serious illness's but getting on with life
to child carers who give up there youth to tend to there very sick parents
it was an eye opener as to what others put up as the NORM
we do tend to winge a lot, but blimey seeing these realy was an eye opener
and a tear jerker

it was tearful evening
and certainly for all our gripes and groans on here
itss shows you how such people cope with even the simplest things that we expect.
pulled at my heart strings i can tell you
and you had to find a winner
when they were all winners
