19:4768354Don't know if anyone is interested but I have finally been brave and let go of the old doverweb.co.uk domain name. I used to renew it every year "just in case" but it has sat idle for a long time now so I'm not renewing any more. If anyone wants it, the domain name should be free to buy through any regular channels in a couple of weeks or so (if it isn't already).

20:1868355Pity about that Rick, you started something phenomenal with that and we shall forever be in your debt.
Many thanks for your initial creation.

21:5568373must have been a wrench for rick, i seem to remember that our former honourable member was instrumental in helping him set it up.
my first rebuke on the forum was an e mail from rick telling me that i had transgressed, i huffed and puffed then realised that i was "out of order", so sent an e mail back apologising.
back came the reply "good man, now carry on"!!
had the same from paul b too.

06:2368382I can imagine you must have kept it almost for nostalgia's sake Rick.
There were some truly great sections of it that must have taken so much of your time to build and research - have you kept them some where ?
I would have thought they would enhance any website - would it be O.K. for me to make inquiries about using them, then at least they can be seen. Presumably they are in pdf type of format so could be downloaded ?
