17:1534362When the glorious new dawn of the DTIZ arrives, is the dreadful multi-storey car park off Flying Horse Lane (opposite the Nelson) staying? I've heard an awful rumour that it is.
Say it isn't so. Please...

17:5934368I think the carpark is part of the lease with Burlington House/Hotel, so when one goes the other will....
Been nice knowing you :)

19:1734378My understanding is that the carpark cannot come down as the lease for Burlington House includes within it the right to use the carpark. So once BH is down then the capark can go

08:1334428They (not sure if "they" are DDC or the Developers) are actively trying to separate them; I can't see why this should be a problem as both are closed.
DDC closed the car-park shortly after I became a Councillor, so it would only have been in use about 10 years or so - not long for such a large outlay; I'd be surprised if they covered the cost of building it.

15:1434524Getting a huge sense of deja vu here, wasn't it last December that we were told things would happen in January or February?
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.
