Thanks Karlos re pictures and thanks also for letting me know about the name of the cemetary.
Yes of course that's it...Cowgate. I myself don't know how high the new buildings will be but no doubt it will emerge in due course.
I wasn't going to do any more pictures but.. it is fascinating .. as now that the heap of metal has more or less gone, it is nice to see the all new townscape emerge. Lots of nicely laid out streets cascading downwards...

In immediate view one can at last see the previously mentioned Mash Tun more or less properly...on the left looking in as it were...is the Italian pizza restaurant, the black and white building.. I believe its called Il Rusticano or something like that...then next to it the Mash Tun micropub, then next to that the cream coloured building is the pub on the corner. I cant remember the name of the pub on the corner as its had a few name changes. Over on the right the Lord Nelson which was once easily visible to yours trulys naked eye when the monstrosity was knocked over, is now more or less blocked by much rubble. This rubble is earmarked for the Ports new development. Will coordinate the promised picture of young Mr Garstin waving in due course if we can eventually get a shot of the Mash Tun doorway.
and now...a pic from grass roots level.
