p & o have announced that 132,000 passengers will be using their dover/calais route between tomorrow and monday.
a real success story, yet there are restructuring plans coming into force soon.
apparently there is a shortfall in their north sea business, but our own service could be affected.
seems hardly fair on the local staff.

yes its certainly busy down at the port. Much heavy traffic all through the night really. People love galloping off for Easter. I wonder will the recession bite. Will there be less going off...or will more actually do it as an andi-dote to all the doom and gloom.
AS an aside, saw in the papers yesterday that P&O have sponsored Hannah Moon to the tune of £3,000...thats great news. You might remember it was rower Hannah who collected the Olympic Flag as it came ashore at the big ceremony last year on Dover seafront. So some good news there.Hannah is very much a marketing dream girl, good looking, fit, blonde etc etc. All the politicos wanted to be photographed with her...I know this because it was me they were asking to do the photographing. I was happy to do it. A grand occasion that was.
