    The burning of the effigy was over the top in this instance and as with all these things generally it is usually a stage managed thing.However diplomacy is called for at international level, thats why these guys go on such trips. You dont go to offend everybody if at all possible.

    That affable face of the BBC John Sergeant sopke of new broomism on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show yesterday and said

    "David Cameron is unlikely to be talking this way in a years time"

    Oul John has been around a long time as a journalist and has seen them come and go.
