17:1241016Brown is to announce the themes for the Labour election campaign over the weekend.
Why so early if the election is not until May?
This is another indicator towards him calling the election as early as next week for the 25th March.
Add that to the others;
Expected poor economic indicators in April for Q1
Chilcott
Budget - failure to announce a date and the potential political fall-out....
His options are narrowing - just 4 dates available...

17:4541022So, will Gallumphing Gordie go for the ever popular, Third Man Theme, Dambusters Theme, James Bond Theme? What do the residents of this particular madhouse think?
I'm going for the Invisible Man Theme, simply becasue I wish he were!
What about Plastic Bertrand, oops Cameron, which theme will he choose for the blues?
And then we get down to the also-rans, what theme for the yellows, and surely there must be a good comedic theme for UKIP and MRLP?
C'mon, don't be shy, let your imaginations run riot!

17:4641024Considering the amount of blood on the carpet so far and so early in the fight, perhaps the Godfather theme would be apt..?

18:2141027The real themes he is expected to announce are:
Ensuring the economic recovery
Protecting frontline public services
Standing up for the many
Protecting future jobs
I really dont think that list will inspire anyone. The man responsible for the biggest bust in our history hardy has any credability in any of those headings.

19:2241032If he promised a unicorn for every child, snowmobiles for the elderly and the opportunity to squeeze lemons into the eyes of all BNP members he might have more luck. And more credibility!!!

19:2741033Two Little Boys (David and Gordon)
Two little boys had two little toys, each had a wooden horse.
Gaily they played each summer's day, warriors both, of course.
One little chap then had a mishap, broke off his horse's head.
Wept for his toy, then cried with joy as his young playmate said.
"Did you think I could leave you crying when there's room on my horse for two,
Climb up here, David, and don't be crying, I can go just as fast with two.
When we grow up we'll both be Politicians and our horses will not be toys,
And I wonder if we'll remember when we were two little boys."
Long years have passed, elections came so fast, and bravely they marched away,
The electioneering roared loud and in the mad crowd, wounded and dying lay.
Up goes a shout, a horse dashes out, out from the ranks so blue,
Gallops away to where Gordon lay, then came a voice he knew.
"Did you think I could leave you dying when there's room on my horse for two,
Climb up here, Gordon, we'll soon be lying, I can go just as fast with two.
Did you say, David, I'm all a-tremble, perhaps it's the battle's noise,
But I think it's that I remember when we were two little boys."
"Did you think I could leave you dying when there's room on my horse for two,
Climb up here, Gordon, we'll soon be flying, back to the ranks so blue.
Do you feel, David I'm all a-tremble, perhaps it's the battle's noise,
But I think it's that I remember when we were two little boys."

19:4041035And My One for David
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?
