Just had one of those letters dropped through my door..you know the ones that tell you about impending roadworks or gas main re-jigging or whathaveyou. This time its from EDF Energy telling me that my electricity will be switched off tomorrow sunday aug 22 betwen 16.00 hours and 21.00 hours. That's between 4 and 9 in old money. Most of the main part of the day.
What the sam hell is one supposed to do with oneself with no electricty? Gulp!
Thats no computer, no email, no TV, no kettle, probably no phone, fridge leaking all over the floor...I mean what is one supposed to do with no electricity, one is dependent??
I suppose I could go for a walk shock horror!!
It seems that the problem could go on for even longer than 9pm as they have mentioned this in passing...it seems a fault needs repairing somewhere. No doubt my fellow citizens around here have had the same letter.
But Im cheering myself up...as on the back side of the letter are survival tips!
