    Yes Brian - they both went into Receivership yesterday afternoon.

    I think the nearest MFI was at Ashford, so probably not too many local (to Dover) workers there, but it's all the spin-off trades that will be badly affected - Schreiber and Hygena (not sure if Schreiber bought out Hygena while ago) who, amongst others, make the kitchen and bedroon furtniture and all the other allied trades, will be laying off people too.

    Woolworth's has been a High Street institution for 99 years, so a very sad day for all concerned - staff and shoppers.

    I do hope that the Receivers will find a way where both be able to continue trading, if not Dover will have a gaping hole in the (metaphorical) High Street as will many Towns and Cities up and down the Country.
