i read today that the above mentioned exist and are likely to pay a visit.
the writer was one stephen hawking who is renowned all over the world as a "clever clogs".
it gets worse, he reckons that they will be very unpleasant, just taking what is of use to them then clearing off to some where more interesting.
nothing changes.
It follows the traditional theory that any encounter between an advanced civilization and a less advanced one will result in the less advanced one being dominated. It's always been this way in human history and it stands to reason that it will be the same if aliens visit us. Why would aliens travel all this way just to say hello? Forget it. Even our little visit to the Moon resulted in stabbing a flag into the ground and claiming an interest in the conquest. If aliens ever did visit us, we're screwed!
Howard they do exist and men i believe are the less advanced compaired to us superiour women

The universe is to big for us to be the only life . How do you think we would react if aliens did visit plannet earth ? As long as its not the daleks .
Bring 'em on. Perhaps they would do a better job of ruling us than the present lot. And maybe if we could unite against a common foe we would forget our differences.

maybe they have visited, not been impressed by what they have seen and gone away again to look for somewhere more interesting?
Yep, they took one look at Dover and thought we'd got enough problems to deal with.

Unless they can travel the speed of light or more, I think if they head for us, they`ve got a long way to go to reach the next place. ie, they`ll want to stay here I suspect. But remember, our planet could be a poisonous hell to them. I hasten to add, that I have an open mind on aliens, and we must distance ourselves from the TV and film ideas, even if they may be possible. If a God existed, he would have to be an alien, as no humans could do those biblical happening`s.

As Mark says above, the universe is a very big place, with billions of galaxies, containing billions of stars, with countless planets. This image was taken by the Hubble space telescope, with a very long exposure, of an empty looking piece of sky, smaller than the quarter moon. Thousands of galaxies in this area alone, and the whole sky is similar. Look in this months Sky at Night magazine, and view the latest picture of ultra deep space. All those smudges are galaxies, the red one`s being the furthest away.

Sorry, what I should have added is that, with all these galaxies and stars in them, it`s the main reason why so many people believe in aliens. However, there are different types of stars, and what planets there are need to be the right distance from their parent star so as to be not too hot or cold. On top of that, there are all the complexities of life taking hold, and it`s too much here for me to go into, but I do have many books on the subject as mentioned on other posting`s. Facinating stuff, which is why I find certain things in life so boring.

Colin, I hope you posted that whilst sitting at the keyboard in your Darth Vader Y-fronts!
