  Rick - for you (and for me and some others) the X Factor disc was a crap song, but for others it wasn't. There is such a wealth of diverse music out there it seems bitter and nasty to raise a storm just to stop one young man from reaching one of his goals. Getting a number one record these days isn't what it used to be - there was always the commercial stuff but there was a balance of enterprise with talent, music and sense - now it is all about shifting "product". But even so, that is not our world if we like real music, so let it be. I am not glad about this result, not that I give much of a flying frock anyway - but if I did, I would be sad that enough people cared enough about preventing something positive happening for someone to take part in a managed and constructed campaign based on hate and loathing. Get a Life and grow Up, are words that come to mind.
