    You are correct.Alan Whicker lives on the island in a grand house overlooking Bouley Bay.St Helier is a thriving busy shopping area that is packed with High St stores as there are no out of town mutli national supermarkets so the town is the place to go.

    You made me chuckle.There are a number of Poles and Portuguese on the island so many in fact that masses at various Catholic churches are said in both Polish and Portuguese.On May 9th the island celebrates Liberation Day.Its a Bank Holiday in Guernsey but the miserable lot in Jersey voted against otherwise I would have had another day off which would probably irk Sue even more than normal.

    The German Underground Hospital is just one of a series of tunnels left behind by the Germans.Some of the tunnels are used to breed fish,sone is used to train bob slieghers and t'others have been changed to tourist sites or BnB.

    And finally so mad Alex D doesn't feel left out..Jersey is NOT a member of the EU!!
