  Why do celebrities and the media constantly advocate plastic surgery? It's legitimising the dangerous lengths some will go to for so called fame and beauty. Young people are being bombarded by images of so called 'perfection' (who decides what is perfect anyway?) and getting something 'fixed' is becoming as normal as popping to the corner shop. All surgery carries risks. I'm not saying don't have something corrected after long and careful thought if it is causing a major problem which is impacting on other areas of your life, but I do really think that some people need to be thankful they are alive and as healthy as they are.
