It's a question of whether two protected green areas - one of which includes a scheduled ancient monument - should be signed over to developers to accommodate migration (mainly from London's overspills) and immigration.
These proposed 10,000 + houses in and around Dover (core strategy) plus the 600-700 at Farthingloe and Western Heights are not meant for us Dovorians.
Dover has the highest youth unemployment in the UK, by handing over our protected areas and farms and woodlands to developers for settlements, DDC is practically closing two eyes to our real problems and pretending that an influx of money from the Treasury that comes as a one-off with each new home built, will solve our problems.
In reality, the job-centres would be overflowing even more in Dover District once 40,000 new settlers started competing for the vacant jobs here. Duh!
Growth points status@ hah!
Labour policy from the last government to convince councils to accommodate Labour's mass immigration policies and London's endless and interestingly diverse overspills.
