I understand why people living near the Farthingloe site are against the development because it affects them personally. I think it is an ideal site for development and the semi-rural location will be attractive to potential buyers. If the houses are attractive and well designed with decent room sizes they will attract young families into Dover or stop them moving out of the town. For Dover to regenerate we need to attract new people to live in the town and one way to do this is to offer a better variety of housing stock.
