  Unfortunately what isn’t really publicised is that the money for the housing at Connaught Barracks is dependent upon the delivery of this bus infrastructure- no bus route, no money from Homes England for the housing. The money for the Fastrack couldn’t be diverted to subsidise existing routes. If you don’t live near this new route your bus route can be reduced but the Government want to force us in rural communities out of our cars. It’s nonsensical. I like living in a rural area, I like my car, I’ve never much enjoyed public transport. I don’t want an electric car. Living in an area with no mains gas and totally reliant upon electricity, an electric car would be of little use in a prolonged power outage as recently experienced in some neighbouring villages.
