    In a statement, a KCC spokesman said: '...due to the lead time for electric vehicles they will not be available at the start of the service...'

    Not that I give a fig for this project, but does anyone know what the lead time is for an electric bus?

    3+ years seems rather long and, given the trumpets were originally booked for autumn 2023, presumably ~2 years was then considered enough.
