11:2333148Personally, I gleaned a lot of information and ideas from this years Bleriot Memorial and enjoyed the activity on the seafront. As one of the organiser's of the Kent Miners Festival I am hugely aware of the worries and concerns of making such a festival a success. Where do we apply for feasibility funds?
According to the Dover Express, DDC gave £39,943 for project feasibility studies, undertaken by Cresting and £18,610 in up-front funding "to assist Cresting with cash flow".
As the Memorial went ahead I am assuming that Cresting's used the £40,000 to find out that the Memorial was feasible? As it turns out, they must not have taken everything into account when carrying out their feasibility Study, or am I wrong?
I seem to remember DDC, gave some firm around £30.000 for a feasibility study on the Quarterdeck. They used that £30,000 to tell DDC that the building was not worth spending any money on.
We want to know if it is feasible to hold our Festival over two days next year, could I apply for some money for a feasability study?

11:2633149doesn't sound like a feasible idea gary, perhaps a company that specialises in feasibilty studies would be more helpful for a small fee.

13:3033155Thanks Howard,
So what you are saying is, there are specialist firms that deal with feasability studies? Was Crestings one of those firms?

13:4633159not to my knowledge colin, but as it so happens i have been considering setting up such an operation.
i will ask the environment agency to be my first client, i believe that they have a feasibilty department that is over stretched.
maybe they should contract out some of its work.
