Courtesy of Ray Newsam, hopefully people will take heed.
As part of the Kearsney Parks project there will be a ‘bread amnesty’ in
Kearsney Abbey this month, where members of the Kearsney Parks Project
will approach people who are feeding bread to the ducks and offer them duck
food instead, explaining why feeding bread is harmful to both ducks and the
ecosystem.
They've set aside various times throughout August to do this, depending on
the weather of course. The times pencilled in are as follows:
· Fri 18th Aug, 10.30-12.30pm
· Tues 22nd Aug, 11-1pm
· Fri 25th Aug, 12-2pm
· Sun 27th Aug, 10.30-12.30pm
· Thurs 31st Aug, 2-4pm

Whatever happened to the self-appointed swan warden in Kearsney Abbey, she looked after them all dearly for quite a few years?
