Hopefully this year we will see a good crop of festive windows From Ladywell, up the High Street, London road and Cherry Tree as LRCF are yet again running their Festive Window Competition.
We will be delivering leaflets over the next week or so to all shops in our catchment area and asking them to participate, the judging will be on 23rd December, with the winners getting the plaque for a year plus a bottle of champagne and their photo in the papers.

Alan Hughes looked really nice as I walked past tonight

Wait until Louise has done her Mascarada window it sounds as if it will be worth a viewing, she hopes it will be done by Christmas lights switch on.
As fast as we do our shop window we sell the stuff, so good and annoying at the same time.

Well they certainly seem to be putting a bit more effort into it than Selfridges in London. I was rather disappointed with their Christmas windows this year - fluffy reindeer in one but mainly baubles, stars and a bit of tinsel. The prime double window at the end had a rather bizarre flower with fans blowing snow around. The passers by looked even more perplexed than usual. I remember as a child being taken to see Selfridges windows every year and the lights, it was a big event. Alas not anymore. Liberty's faired much better though.
Selfridges
No I couldn't work out what exactly it has to do with Christmas either!

My christmas window wont be going in until after i have done my promotion at Cineworld Ashford.. so the shoes will still be in the window, but the dress will be changing... Cinderella has to return to Faversham as I had her for a wedding fayre this Sunday.. :(
Also gives me time to plan my christmas window... so much to plan..
I got far too excited about the Bella wedding dress to plan...
Sarah I shall advise Edward ( the floor manager) you like his windows.. he will be pleased!!
Thanks Jenni , my original training many many years ago was in Window display , the London stores have a whole team who only work on the Xmas themes for the stores , they will already be working on next years designs . The windows at Alan Hughes just looked so warm and inviting tonight
