Well done Scotchie with the picture...nice one!

Thousands of people gathered to see this unparalelled firework display on Dover seafront. The area was totally alive and throbbing...for a change. A much underused resource is the seafront, as normally its deathly quiet come evening.

But the display was fantastic..from three roving boats in the water, from the castle, from the Prince of Wales pier...all co-ordinated to the sound of music. A real professional job, and the quality of the fireworks themselves were first rate.

This time the message got out and all surely enjoyed the spectacle.

By the way those seafront lights are not up to it. They are too dark, there simply isnt enough illumination from those ancient looking lanterns. I tripped over twice...you simply cant see. But Ive been saying that for years. Time we had those oft muted seafront white lights added. This prob of course nothing to do with the display people who did a fantastic job.

But a terrific evening was had by all.

The batteries in my camera went dead just at the wrong moment. Bummer!
