true to form, all hell has broken loose outside my house.
a function at the community centre started this afternoon, now it is the time for children to acquire alcholic beverages from their parents and misbehave.
quite funny really, i leave my front door open to hear clearly what is going on.

a later bulletin.
some sort of sectarian warfare has broken out, calmed down a bit now.
i rang the 999 people, held the mobile phone out so that they could hear for themselves what was occurring.
naturally they asked important questions, like my shoe size, inside leg stuff, just hung up.
it seemed a good idea as a head case was approaching me with a broken bottle.
came out of hiding a while back and chatted with the kids, appears to be a roma feud that is carried through various countries.

The Police and the CSU need to know about this Howard.
If you'd rather not contact them direct, can you send me an email letting me know the details and I'll pass them on.

it all takes too long roger, when i spoke to the 999 people as a lot of people were leaving, the same lengthy questions start.

More car and street patrols are the answer.Simple.Less form filling more overnight sinbin cell filling with on the spot fines. If unable to pay then consfiscate their mobile (which apparently no youngster can live without) until they can pay.Hit them where it hurts. Hopefully they will soon get cheesed off with having to traipse to the cop shop to buy out their mobile.

The point I was trying to make Howard is that it may well prevent it from happening again.
If every incident is recorded, then they can build up a profile and then will have more patrols in the area, but if no one tells them, how can they know ?

no-one knows when it will happen again roger.
we are only getting isolated incidents, the last serious one, the police did turn up, saw all the blood, spoke to the participants.
no-one will lodge a complaint so the police are powerless.
we had another incident where a chap across the road from me was assaulted, the police arrested the assailant, but the victim would not press charges because of possible repercussions.

trouble is they will not stick together keith.
i tried to compile a dossier 2 years ago when things were bad.
complete waste of time, plenty of opinions from people, but not a single fact.
roger may remember this.

looks like we posted simultaneously roger.
people prefer to look away now, then moan when nothing is done about it.

I agree with that Howard - grumblers not doers.
If it's simmering up there, we need to cool it down a bit.

Howard
I'm glad you approached me this morning, about this subject, and I will see that this is dealt with, these people want the hall for a 45th birthday bash next year, but now I know that this happened they will be refused, but in the meantime will write to them letting them and let them know the reason why they will be refused.
As you know we now have a new committee, and when booking the hall in future will have to abide by the rules that we will be setting out, as used to be done years ago, also they will have to put a deposit down, non refundable if rules are broken, or any amage done, which also has not been carried out as should have been.

That's a bit OTT Keith.
I'm pleased that Sheila is helping, but people do know there are other Councillors who are also very willing and able to help, but if they are not contacted or informed of the problems, what can they do ?

I think Keith means the centre, not the community, the action I will be taking, is one of the community centre, as chairperson I am able to make sure this does not happen again, there are rules and those rules will be kept or they will not hire the hall again, its as simple as that, so long as I have the complaints made in writing and it is just not hearsay.
Howards complaint is a genuine one as is one other, but I have also had a couple of racist ones, saying the hall should not be let out to these people, these people are the same as anybody else, they are allowed to hire the hall, but MUST also abide by the rules, if not they will not hire again.
